I thought I would make everyone aware of this since there had been
talk a while back of getting Google Gears integration into Fluid (and
Todd possibly rolling his own if there was not a solution at some
point).

A beta version of Google Gears was released yesterday for Safari
(which in turn means Fluid support). I have tested it out and it works
out of the box with Fluid applications. There are a few caveats with
using it with Fluid that will have to be ironed out but at least it is
working. Obviously this is an early beta so proceed with caution or
wait it out but it is indeed good news for Fluid.

P.S. Maybe common sense but if you do try installing it make sure you
have closed Safari as well as ALL your fluid applications (meaning
those MenuExtra and Embedded SSBs you forgot about) before installing
this. The installer doesn't seem to be able to check if Fluid apps are
running which may or may not cause issues.
