This may or may not be helpful, but I wonder if it's similar to the issues we've talked about in the past (on this list) with Google Docs spreadsheets ... keyboard shortcuts (even just using arrow keys or Tab or Return to move around the sheet) do really strange things -- but it works fine in Safari or Firefox.
