Hi Sander. I have exactly the same issue. I'm using 0.9.5, but have had this problem for a very long time (as long as I can remember using Fluid for Gmail, and that goes back to the very early releases). I confirm that the issue doesn't arise for me either if I use one of the available directories listed in the dropdown menu. It's a bit of a pain as I'd like to download all my email attachments into a separate directory that I can purge (aggressively) fairly frequently, without risking deleting downloads that I want to keep. I also like to keep my downloaded attachments out of Time Machine's way. Otherwise, it's an awesome Gmail solution (especially with the Gmail Full Width 2 user script – which I had to hack slightly, but now works great).
