thx frank. i see this too. i'll look into it asap.
in the meantime, there's a workaround. when composing your gmail message,
click the "Attach a file" link. then, you will see the "Choose File" button
and the "no file selected" text next to it. (for those who know HTML, this
is the <input type="file"> element)

in every webkit-based app (safari, fluid ssbs, cruz, omniweb, etc), you can
simply drag and drop a file directy on the "no file selected text" to attach
it. no "open" dialog is necessary. this is actually a really nice feature.

i'll try to have a fix for the crasher in the next release (prolly in march)
