To all and sundry members of the Fluxlist and particularly those of you
who participated in the Fluxlist Box project. I have been out of the
loop for a few weeks because of a family emergency that I had to deal
with and then once I got back (last week) I have had a mountain of
things that had piled up in my absence. Needless to say I have not ben
able to finish the Fluxbox because of this. As Sol mentioned in his
original post (above) the box is assembled and labeled, but it is
waiting for me to finish the accompanying CD (the CD catalog and
archive of the Fluxlist). I was able to work about six hours on it
yesterday and the same the day before - I have the interface all
designed and have photographed all the works and am now in the process
of building all the graphical elements (rollovers, etc) and
constructing the pages.
Most of the contributors have responded to my request for information,
with a few exceptions, SO I STILL NEED -
Cecil Touchon - name (how you want it to appear) and title and date of
your piece
Fluxsisters - the number of works you sent was less than the number
needed to include one in each box, is this the way you want it left, or
can you send me more works??
Unclaimed work - we seem to have one work with no artist's name or info
associated with it (and none of the people who sent me information for
the catalog claimed it) - so if this is your work please let me know
and send me you name, the title of the piece and the date - the work is
a small glass test tube/ampule with a jewel and a word in the tube. I
know that this has a source/artist, but I do not seem to have it . . .
. . . . .
I think that these are the major unresolved issues for the catalog. My
hope is to get a prelim version done by the beginning of next week and
then put it up on line so you can all preview it as a final check
before I burn the 50 CDs - I will let the list know when this happens
and then any and all feedback would be great.
Thanks for being patient,
Owen
