hi clint,
there are two "non-tape" releases of joe jones - the first one was a single LP,
made end of the seventies by harlekin art/ wiesbaden (germany), 500 signed &
numbered copies in silkscreen cover, sold out for several years, and the CD
called "joe jones & chicken to kitchen: fluxsaints", label was artware, wiesbaden
(germany). CD price is (i think) between DEM 35 and 45... this CD is a bit weak:
it's only one music machines track and the rest is a spoken word performance of
joe plus the ambient/ arty music of those chicken to kitchen people. but there
are a few nice tracks together with ben patterson.
also a contibution on ono's fly LPs, but it's poor to hear joe's recording as
background noise...
but joe jones released many other tapes, but they are very limited, mostly not
more than 20 copies/ each recording... and they are nearly impossible to find...
a good place to find another recording of his solar music orchestra is the FLUXUS
ANTHOLOGY tape box set, edited by jan van toorn. there is also a good
discography!
cheers, marc
