Hi Roger and all,
>and I was also musing upon the role of chance in Fluxus generally
How important was it to the mainstream Fluxus artists?<
Read George Brecht's essay CHANCE-IMAGERY, it's published as one of
Something Else Press's Great Bear Pamphlets in 1966.....several online
vendors have it for sale..bibliofind etc. It's only a thin pamphlet but a
great piece of writing on chance. Maybe someone knows if it's been reprinted
anywhere?
Brecht seems to be the most concerned with chance operations out of the
Fluxus artists, but I only say that because I don't think that any of the
others wrote so much on it.
cheers,
Sol.
