Sol asked if these constructions were used in other countries. I'm a
lifelong USAn, and I've never before heard the terms "piss artist" or "piss
elegant." I've heard "pissed" meaning drunk, but only from British people
(i.e. it's not a US term.) I knew some British students, and they introduced
"taking the piss," but that's definitely not a US phrase (although I think a
Canadian I know used it once.)

In the US, "pissed" or "pissed off" means angry. Of course, we have 101 uses
for the word "shit," so I guess that makes up for the piss deficit.
