Interesting point, George - this kind of transgression is part of
Fluxus as well, particularly in the Fluxus events of the mid and late
70s - the very same events that Stuart Home complained about as being
too insular much too much just fun and games and not enough
transgressive acts as the early Fluxus event type works were. Instead
of this point of view it seems to me that these participatory
performances are really a/the heart of Fluxus where it ceases to be
oppositional (or have any interest in such traditional categories) and
partakes in a simple joy of acting and living.
