not wanting to contribute to the debate, and certainly not wanting to take
sides, i, however, feel compelled to write about meeting ken friedman today.
during his visit to toronto he came by the gallery where i work and took me
to lunch. i found him to be every bit as sweet, thoughtful and intelligent
in person as he is in correspondance. when discussing fluxus artists he was
hesitant in his criticisms and generous with his praise.

it is a shame he is taking such a beating here.
