Could Fluxlist sponsor as a relief effort "Afghans for Afghans"? I find mine to be such a comfort. After jingoism dies down, we could gather discarded American flags, cut them into strips, and knit them into afghans for Afghans. Another pointless gesture, but this time with a frame around it--
