Hi Carol, >i have received a couple of addresses off line and i have an idea? imagine.... what about a FLUXLIST address book??? i would happily get it together and mail the finished product . it could have comments by the addressee and a cover of artistic or otherwise kind. this is not to be confused with roger's poetry book. it would also be nice to put it online to the list with sol's assist in alphabetizing greatly appreciated. what do you think about this?<
Good thinking Carol. This is a useful idea but I think any online version should have some sort of password facility (i.e. fluxlist only) and not include phone numbers as the idea of making addresses and phone numbers freely available via the web is not a good one from a security point of view, what with the possibility of harassment etc. The printed version seems ideal though. You may not be aware that for many years now Ken Friedman has compiled lists of addresses of Fluxus artists and others interested in Fluxus and he circulates these via e-mail so there is already a tradition of Fluxus address lists......it's also similar to the early mail art contact directories. Anyway it would be handy as I'm constantly mislaying people's addresses in my somewhat messy (a complete tip if I'm honest) home office. cheers, Sol.
