petal wasnt close to her family, just her friends. Her Bad Produce was 
pre-fluxus and the roses too but everyhting else was fluxus inspired. She and 
I were friends since the seventies and we worked for Chris Grimes 
together-hes an art dealer in Santa Monica now. She grew up pretty poor in 
Salinas in the 40's and 50's.She had a great sense of humor- do you have the 
news article that goes with the bad produce -its funny. The lodge sounds 
lovely
