Do I need to say I share entirely Jennifer's point of view, and that I would have been happy to have written such a clear explanation? Thank you Jenny. > > > in Fluxlist. Do you know what? You might be well inspired with changing of department and/advisor, because, even for art history, Fluxus is an highly recommandable matter. This kind of advices often happen when department and/or advisors have not read a single line about Fluxus a part of the litlle reminiscences they have from what they've read 20 or 30 years ago about those funny guys doing funny things as an art form. So really, I don't know where you're working (I mean the in which country) but I thought that France (where I am) had the most has-been doctorate directors, and I finally found someone who agreed to advise and direct my doctorate. If you don't want, or can't, change of department/advisor, try to convince him of the viability of your doctorate, it's worthful to be able to work on a matter you really want to (even if Alfred Jarry is a pure wonder, and a wonderful universe to explore, not speaking of Dada). > > Fluxus in the future. I respect that totally, but if you're living in Europe, or better in France, (who knows?), I would be very glad to meet you. With the 4T FluXuS association, we are having a hard job here to make Fluxus known in France, and are organizing Fluxus events in France, like concerts, symposiums and exhibitions. Since you want to work on Jarry, I guess you speak French, so you may find interest in the website of the association relating our activities and goals: www.4t.fluxus.net I'm sorry, we still didn't found the time to translate it in English, but there's lots of pictures valuable to see I think (?) All the best for your future researches, Bertrand
