Short Experimental Films and Video Art wanted for new multimedia venue in Chania, Crete, Greece

A new multimedia space is opening on June 23rd and 24th at Chania, Crete, in a converted old Harbour Warehouse. The new art venue is called "

EXPERIMENTAL VIDEO AND MUSIC" and we would like to celebrate the opening

with a bang, giving the opportunity to emerging artists to showcase their work. If you are an emerging filmmaker or video artist and you would like to show your work or experimental film, we would like to hear from you!

We welcome submissions of work in film (with minimum dialogues),

animation, 3-D, video art. There is no limit in time length but the

average will be around 15 mins per slot. We are interested in highly

visual presentations. The screening will be through 5 projectors and there will be music from djs playing along. This is the first time that an event of this nature will take place in Chania and there will be very good local and national press coverage and profile. The credit for the work presented will be widely available during the event and also in press releases.

I am afraid that we cannot pay any fees or expenses but this is a good

opportunity for showcasing you work!

Please send us your work on a DVD (I am afraid DVD is the only acceptable

format) by the 18th June at the following address:

GORTINOS 24 , CHANIA 73100 ,CRETE , GREECE, THODORIS THOMADAKIS

If you would like to be sent your DVD back, please enclose a SAE with the appropriate postage.

We will also need from you your CV and contact details (an email) to confirm that we have received your film and that it has been selected for the events on 23rd and 24th June .

In addition you will need to provide us with a signed letter authorising us to screen your film for the event on the 23rd and 24th June 2004.

The event is free to the public.

If you have any questions please contact Thodoris Thomadakis on mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
