I was thinking about this too, and I think its a good idea.  The only
issue is, how will this effect performance, and will there be a way
i don't think it will effect performance. we just need two textures attached to one pixel primitive and swap between them like it is done with the main render buffer. and we would have pixels->ptexture or something to access the back buffer texture. pdata buffers and everything else would remain the same.
