Hi

I don't know about WB but in a custom mapping file it is possible

The way I do it is to the use the following syntax

ORACLE8I_DEF TABNAME  oracle_sql "select...."  oracle_dim 2

here the SELECT statement can be any select containing functions, sub 
selects, inline views, joins etc.

note you have to put "" around your select statement
