Depending on what result you're looking for, using either an 
OGCGeometryExtractor or a Chopper (1 vertex max) followed by a 
CoordinateFetcher in workbench will probably give you the result you want.  
Maybe give some more details or an example of what you want the output data to 
look like?

I'm working in MapInfo and want to convert to XY coords in a CSV (or
txt) file. In the Universal Viewer, the Coordinate Listings for each
polygon appear, but when I translate to XY, I get only centroid
points. Because I haven't had luck converting from lines to points in
MapInfo, I figured the Viewer/Translator can also do this, but I have
yet to find out...
