Hi Swapna, If you simply point the Shape reader of an existing workspace to a new Shapefile with different attributes the attributes probably won't even get read (because they won't match the source schema already defined).
If you add a new Shape dataset as source and the attributes are different to your geodb destination then the attributes would be read but not written (because they won't match the destination schema). If you manually add the attribute definitions to your destination schema in FME and write the Shape data to an existing geodatabase - I don't know what will happen. I'm not sure if the writer will add the extra attributes onto the geodatabase or not. My guess is not but you'd have to experiment (and I'm not even sure if this is what you want or not). I'm not even sure if the translation would run through or stop with an error. Again you could try it to find out.
