Thanks for replying Mark.
I did a number of tests with 2d and 3d files and new cell libraries.
2d cell library & 2d file = all okay
2d cell library & 3d file = no distortion but can not manipulate result (eg move, copy)
3d cell library & 2d file = FME ends translation
3d cell library & 3d file = distortion and no manipulation results
I looked up “whatsnew.txt” for the new FME2006 Beta, and it doesn’t appear to have made any changes to handling of V8 cell libraries.
As we don’t work in a 2d environment, do you have anymore suggestions?
Thanks
Debster

I'd certainly suggest upgrading to the latest FME2006 beta. There're
lots of fixes in there for MicroStation levels and cells.
Are these 3d cells or 2d cells written to a 3d file? These are the
most likely problem areas. If you're writing a 2d cell to a 2d file
and experiencing distortion then I'd suggest writing to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] straightaway (assuming you have a valid AMC).
Regards,
Mark
