Well not all changes and fixes make it to the "What's New" file. I know there might still be distortion with 3d cells in FME2006 (I've filed this with our developers) but as far as I know the translation shouldn't fail or crash any more. It certainly didn't when I tested it.
I didn't know about the problem with manipulating the results. I'll test that here today and file a problem report if I can recreate it.
