Hello Group,

Here is a question that seems kind of silly at first.

Is it possible to assign floating licenses to certain users within a network? (I know, it sounds like a static license, doesn’t it?)

We have a small group of GIS people who use FME for large parts of the day and a large group of non-GIS people using a small application with FME integrated into it.  I need to ensure that the GIS professionals always have access to an FME license or two and everyone else only has access to 1 license at any one time.  Can the licenses be assigned to banks of IP addresses or will I have to build something into the non-GIS professional application that checks to see if anyone else is using a license.

Kind of confusing, but does anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Bryan
