Thanks for that answer.
In fact, when FME Viewer says that it is "shape_arc", it is the same that
"shape_polyline", isn't it ?
However, I have a recent version of FME ...

My problem is that I convert my shape_polyline into STAR format
in exit, shape_polyline has become line.
FME changes the geometry of my shape ...
Is there some options to avoid having this problem ??

Thanks

Anne

Anne,

Shapefile polylines are already a line layer. In FME the geometry type
for a line shapefile will be shape_polyline (or in older FME versions
shape_arc). Both of those FME types should be interchangable for a
shape line file.

Polylines are not the same as polygons (FME type shape_polygon) if that
is what you are expecting. Take a look at the original shapefile and
you'll see this.
