Thanks for that answer. In fact, when FME Viewer says that it is "shape_arc", it is the same that "shape_polyline", isn't it ? However, I have a recent version of FME ...
My problem is that I convert my shape_polyline into STAR format in exit, shape_polyline has become line. FME changes the geometry of my shape ... Is there some options to avoid having this problem ?? In FME the geometry type for a line shapefile will be shape_polyline (or in older FME versions shape_arc). Both of those FME types should be interchangable for a shape line file. Polylines are not the same as polygons (FME type shape_polygon) if that is what you are expecting. Take a look at the original shapefile and you'll see this. -Graeme acrenn29 wrote: >Hi, > >sorry for my poor english ... > >I have a shape file with polylines. >But when i see my file with FME Viewer it says that it is shape_arc ... > >I convert my file to STAR >and when I import my data, the polylines have become lines .... > >does anyone has have the same problem ? >Maybe I have just to check an option under FME in order it keeps my >polylines .. > >thanks at all > > > > > > > >Get the maximum benefit from your FME, FME Objects, or SpatialDirect via our Professional Services team.
