I am trying to read read annotations from an ESRI Geodatabase (Arc
9) and need the following attributes:
objectid
text_string
shape describing the insertion point/orientation/size, etc.
Ideally I would like to use the Geodatabase Reader but certain
annotation features are causing the FME engine to get a runtime
error (I have a ticket with SAFE support, but I think it might be
hard for me to tell them what data is causing this problem).
While I am trying to troubleshoot the root problem I thought I would
like to explore other approaches to this problem. When I read the
same annotation feature class using the SDE Reader, I do not have
the runtime errors, but the feature shape is a polygon and not an
insertion point.
Does anyone have any thoughts on how I could use the SDE Reader to
also get the text_string and insertion point information for an
annotation feature class? Is this even possible?
