Thanks for your reply :) I found out a bit more about my problem and think as it stands I will not be able to complete the task without coding of some kind...
As I now understand it the Element Information Attributes are non- desplayable application data attached to individual elements as attribute linkages. There is a restriction in FME regarding attribute linkages - only database and DMRS linkages are supported by V8 DGN files (Reading and Writing). However these are not the linkage types we use. I am wondering if it is possible to read the attribute data as an array of short attributes and write them to the new element? Would appreciate confirmation regarding the above and any suggestions about how i can go about solving - many thanks! --- In [email protected], "Raghavendran\(SRG\)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hello Carly, > When you say Element Information Attributes, is it MSLINK based user linkages or Tags? > To get MSLINKs on the destination you will have to expose the MSLINK while reading and then write them to the exposed ones on the destn. > Tags to my knowledge as on date can be read by FME but cannot be written as TAGS back to DGN. > HTH > Happy FME-ing:-) > SRG > > clambert_aamh <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hello All :) > > I have set up a GUI dgn2dgn to translate from one projection to > another.
