Hi Keith, Not sure why this happens - I do recall having more success with 2 than 3 in the past, but can't remember why.
Anyway, what I really wanted to say was if you upgrade to FME2006 (or 2006-GB) then you'll find there is a specific SQL Server reader/writer within the formats gallery. This might give you better results than trying to connect through ODBC. 2006-GB may be the best way to go since the SQLServer reader/writer now uses something called ADO which I'm assured is better than ODBC.
