I have a number of destination feature types, each of which maps to an
Oracle 8i table. The only parameter at my disposal for each feature
type is Drop Table First. For a given feature type, if I set this
parameter to No, then create the table myself in Oracle with a primary
key, then run the translation twice in succession using the same
source dataset, strange things happen - on the second run, I get an
expected error message "ORA-00001: unique constraint ... violated",
but then FME goes away for a while and eventually crashes.
Is this expected behaviour, i.e. will I need to guard against
attempting this kind of operation? I was kind of hoping that FME would
report the error, shrug its shoulders and carry on.
