Just to clarify/answer one of my own questions now I've reflected on
it further: presumably the order of translations depends entirely upon
the order of features in the source data. That is, as each feature is
read sequentially from the source data, the appropriate transformation
is executed and completed, then the next source feature, etc. This is
regardless of how the various transformations are ordered in the
workspace. Thus the only way to ensure that all features of a certain
type are translated before those of another type is to make sure that
they appear first in the source data ...?
