Hi FME'ers, Hurrah! With 2006-GB released we've also started posting the beta versions for FME 2007.
The first one is now on our web site at www.safe.com/download This link - ftp://ftp.safe.com/fme/beta/whatsnew.txt - will show you all of the development that has gone on since 2007 was branched off from 2006-GB. Some of my favourite additions are... *More character encoding support for various formats *DGNV8: Rich geometry support for reading/writing *FMEGUI: tab in the options page for Datum Grid shifts *Workbench: New buttons including 'Prompt & Run' *Workbench: Feature types can now be updated *Workbench: Right-click a feature link and select 'Replace with AttributeCopier' to replace attribute links with an AttributeCopier transformer I wouldn't prefer it over 2006-GB for production work, but I'd definitely suggest checking out FME 2007 (or at least the What's New) to see if there's anything in the pipeline that will help you in the future.
