Greetings all

We have a Geomedia Access Warehouse with over 750,000 records >
(water, stormwater and sewer) in a number of feature tables and are
using FME to create shapefiles and put the attribute information in
a MSQL database.

Additions are ok, but we are unsure of the approach for updating the
columns of changed and deleted records. For changed records, a
number of columns may change and for deleted records, a field will
be set to "expire" them but not delete them from the database.

The important thing to us, is the records in this SQL table may have
records in other tables in the database associated to it eg work
history etc, so it is important we don't lose this relationship.

We're currently using FME 2005. Reading the information on 2006GB
that may be the answer to our issue, but I'm not sure.

Would appreciate any help, pointers.

Regards Garry
