It's the PolygonBuilder that's reordering your vertices, and there's no setting that I know of to make sure that the starting vertex is the same as on the input feature. If your features are fairly simple, the easiest work-around might be to use the OGCGeometryExtractor and after a bit of string maninpulation, an OGCGeometryReplacer to change the order.
Why do you need the PolygonBuilder after the GeometryCoercer if it's already a closed feature?

__._,_.Hi FMEers, Greetings from Texas....
I've been trying to re-order polygons in a specific order.
I start out with a bunch of polygons and then make a poly_id.
I find the edge that I want to be first and I can get a line feature
that is created in order. However, when I turn the line to a polygon
using all of the following alternate processing I get a polygon that
is not in the order that I expect. It seems that the polygon edges
are being reordered so that the first vertex is always the minx, miny.
Here are the techniques I have used to turn a Line to a Polygon, with
the first segment being what I want as the first polygon edge.
LineCloser
GeometryCoercer (point) -> PointCollector (break on poly_id)
GeometryCoercer (polygon)
PolygonBuilder (group by poly_id)
Is their a way to force a polygon to be created in a certain vertex order?
I'm using FME 2006 build 2182
Regards, Reed
