Huh.

I don't use the TopologyBuilder to clean up data, I use it to do
set-wise topological relationship analysis :)

SpatialRelator and SpatialFilter are pretty cool too, but pretty
task-specific.

I'm not sure you've got a sound methodology for developing this list.
It will de-preference new transformers (possibly at the expense of best
practices), and I think that the Pro Services workspaces might be more
biased towards heroic measures than day-to-day stuff.

It would be cool of the stats sent by FME back to Safe could include
site_id, workspace_name, workspace_created, and transformer_list. That
way you would have a larger set of results, and could filter by date
(newer transformers AND more input from new users), and analyse which
transformers are strongly correlated with certain input/output formats,
with each other, etc.

I _really_ like that FMEpedia page. It does a great job of describing
some of the more common tasks. It would be more useful to develop a
self-enclosed example (Creator -> Stuff -> Visualiser) of each one. I
don't think I'll be seeing over my current stack of work long enough to
work on it anytime soon though.

I think the list will change a bit at least - for example the
PolygonBuilder and DonutBuilder are combined in the AreaBuilder - so
we'll see what makes the final list. I'd certainly like to see the
2dPointReplacer and Sorter added.

But actually the list is from a scan of all our pro services team
workspaces, so I guess we don't use TopologyBuilder that much here: we
only work with clients who have nice looking data to start with ;-)

I did start an fmepedia page on how to combine transformers to get
certain effects - see

_today%3F

...when I get more time hopefully I'll be able to go into more detail on
some of them.
