Hi, I've filed this as PR11092 - an enhancement request for a 3DRotator transformer.
In the meantime I found a custom transformer that swaps Y and Z coords and used it to create a workspace that rotates in 3d. See... http://www.fmepedia.com/index.php/3DRotation_Workspace Hope this is useful. I can see a couple of issues with the workspace, but it's a starting point.
