I had lately the same problem and the "RasterMerger" was very confusing. "RasterBandGrouper" is the correct name for it (would have at least immediately guessed what it does ...). PS: To merge my rasters (grids in fact) I finally used ArcGIS ... > 5) A RasterMosaicker transformer is the solution you need.
