To translate the local vernacular, to "shout" someone a beer in New Zealand
means it is at their expense, meaning Garry's in this case.

Garry drinks Waikato Draught beer. The official company story on that stuff
is here <http://info.lion.co.nz/> , but anyone travelling to collect on his
offer would do well to research his/her options here
<http://www.realbeer.co.nz/> .

Subject: [fme] Weird 3D feature rotation help

Hi all

I have hundreds of road labels that I have as created as lines. I
take them into a 3D application (it doesn't support labelling)and
they draw fine parallel to the ground. The issue is when the
viewpoint is low to the ground they are difficult to read.

What I want to do is rotate them 90 degrees on an axis that runs
through the name (feature) so they become perpendicular to the
ground ... therefore making it easy to read them at low to the
ground viewing angles.

It is similar to what the ROTATOR transformer does (but ROTATOR does
it in the Z axis).

Would appreciate any thoughts no matter how wild or wonderful.

Will shout the people with successful ideas a beer (but they will
have to come down to New Zealand to collect). :-)

Regards Garry
