Good Morning Mark,

  thanks for the options!!
I would appreciate have a google account being generated for me. I find the
users group to be a prime asset for questions and to see what other folks are
doing, which expands my knowledge of the functionality of FME.
Although I only use about 1% of its capabilities, it is an invaluable tool
that performs well.
  Keep me in the loop.

  Thanks,
  Tim

          Dear FME Group Subscribers,
This is an important message to let you know that we will very shortly
be moving the FME user group from the Yahoo web site to the Google
Groups web site.

This move is intended to give us both more functionality within the
group, and greater reliability for email delivery.

The move will take place on Wednesday 1st August 2007

What we'll do is this:

* Finish migrating existing messages from this group to the new one
* Turn off message posting to the Yahoo group (approx 10am PST)
* Migrate all the Yahoo members to Google
* Start using Google
* Restore Yahoo group posting but only for 1 more month or until we
are sure everyone knows the group has moved

I will send out another announcement like this before we turn off the
Yahoo group, so you know what is happening.

The one big question is this: When migrating users to Google we have
two options:

1) Send out an invitation asking all existing Yahoo group members to
join the new group

2) Automatically create a Google Group account for all existing Yahoo
group members

At the moment I'm leaning towards option 2 - to automatically sign up
everyone. That option seems to minimize the possibilities of lost
users or messages, and we can duplicate your choice of email setting
(ie all messages, no messages, or daily digest).

If you have any objections, questions or suggestions then please let
me know asap.

Thanks for using the FME user group... look forward to seeing you in
our new location.

Regards,

Mark
