I suggest that you have your client take a look at a package called 'MoneyWorks' from Cognito.
http://www.cognito.co.nz/
It is cross-platform and networkable and includes options for automated exchange of information with FileMaker on both Windows and Mac OS. This takes the form of FileMaker plug-ins for both platforms that are provided as a free download by Cognito and which allow scripted integration between the two environments.

I have a client who will be moving to one of the commercial accounting packages. We are currently performing all scheduling, billing, accounts receivable and deposits using FMP. We want to keep that functionality but be able to syphon the data into an accounting package.
Which packages are easier to work with regarding FMP?
Are there any plug ins to do a direct connection with one or another package?
This is not a large client. The businesses involved are property maintenance (Yard care and snow removal) and property management ( He has some income properties). My FMP program is taking care of the property maintenance business now. but he also wants to expand to take into consideration his other interests.
