If you already have an existing file, and just want a new table, FM Advanced
will import into a new table, and it will also use the column names as field
names. Without Advanced, you will have to crate a new file per the other
suggestions. I do not know if FM Pro will copy and paste whole tables like
Advanced will.

How do I create a new table from an Excel spreadsheet with 1500 records and
tons of columns (they will be my fields)?

I don't want to create the table first and then import the data into the new
table. I want to create the table directly in my existing FMP 9 database. The
columns headings are the field names.

(I actually have 5 Excel spreadsheets I want to convert directly.)

 Thanks,
 Melissa
