The ideal candidate should possess:
a.. Minimum of a M.S. Degree in Geophysics
b.. 5-10 years experience in an Exploration and Production Company
c.. Unix workstation/ GeoQuest/ IESX preferred
Duties Include:
a.. Controlling the geophysical (seismic and potential filed)
activities within Exploration and other relevant assets
b.. Ensure cooperation with other geophysical team members or
TG/MTS-ISS that the geophysical job and quality are consistent with the
company's best practice procedures (e.g. interpretation methods, depth
conversion methodology, well calibration guidelines). The goal being to make
geophysical/seismic interpretation more effective and standardized between
assets.
c.. Identify areas of expertise or weaknesses within the asset
group's technical staff and recommend and implement appropriate
training/development programs to ensure the highest level of professional
skills are achieved.
d.. Manage seismic Speculative/Multi-client projects and
expenditures. Evaluate and optimize through close link with contractors
innovative licensing agreement.
e.. Maintain and update a technical database of contractors and
major oil companies in geophysical know-how.
f.. Ensure the soundness of geophysical expenditures
g.. Ensure quality and consistency of geophysical interpretations
(cross-asset).
h.. Seismic data acquisition, processing, interpretation
i.. Reservoir Characterization
