At John Dieffenbacher-Krall's prompting, I took another look at the
Symantec Donation Application, and the GIfts in Kind Web site, and it looks
like one may have to register with GIK ($75 for the rest of 2001) in order
to get the Symantec software from them. I missed this important fact the
first time I read the application. If this is true, it is a change -- they
used to make software donations available to non-GIF members, but members
got it cheaper.
It's still a good deal, but $115 is a lot more than $40.
