Some time ago, I sent information to this list about how to request
software donations from Symantec (makers of Norton Anti-virus, Norton
Utilities, etc.). Symantec has changed their program, and now makes their
software donations through Gifts in Kind, International. You can download
the PDF application form from:
<http://www.symantec.com/corporate/software.html>
There is an administrative fee charged, so it may not be worth it for a
single copy of Norton Antivirus. However, if you need multiple copies the
deals are very attractive. For instance, a copy of Norton Systemworks
2001, plus a license for an additional 10 users, will cost you $40 (retail
price -- $660).
