Lately I have been getting a ton of spam e-mails that seem to try to dial the internet as soon as they pop up in the preview pane (everything from lower your mortgage rate to enlarge your penis size. Sheesh!). They try so hard to dial the connection, that sometimes I don't even have time after clicking "cancel" to hit the "delete" button before they start to try dialing again. Does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with these abominations short of turning off the preview pane (I'm assuming that would do it - haven't actually tried yet)?
I use Outlook Express, if that makes any difference. This is my work account, which is the address on our website - which is probably why it is becoming flooded with this garbage. I'm seriously thinking about getting an e-mail alias for that purpose and changing it every three or four months. I frequently get half a dozen or more of these in a day. Spam e-mail is the pits! -cynthia **Folkschool-list archives are at: <http://www.mint.net/folkschool/helpnet/archives.htm> Sponsored by Pine Tree Folk School ==^================================================================ This email was sent to: [email protected] EASY UNSUBSCRIBE click here: http://topica.com/u/?a84vzQ.a9gqS3 Or send an email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] T O P I C A -- Register now to manage your mail! http://www.topica.com/partner/tag02/register ==^================================================================
