Valerie-

I'll second Jim's advice. Unfortunately, it is not worth upgrading a
Pentium 100 - you'll put a substantial fraction of the cost of a new
machine into it, and it will still be an obsolete, slow computer. It will
cost as much to buy 32 Mb of RAM for your old Pentium 100 as it will to get
128 Mb of RAM in a new computer. Like Jim, I suggest you either buy from
Dell or get a computer built locally - you should be able to get a machine
that is 20 times the speed of your old one for $1,000 or less -
significantly less, if you can still use your current monitor.

If you're interested in local businesses, I've had excellent experiences
dealing with Cyberdata, on Exchange St. in Bangor, for upgrades, repairs,
and new systems (including 4 for Helpnet members). The also sell used
machines, but new ones are so cheap now that I think it's more
cost-effective to buy new.
