Paul- It's pretty easy to set up a filter in Eudora - It's under the "Tools" menu. For instance, you can set up a filter so that any message from a particular recipient or with a particular subject goes directly into your Trash folder. However, you have to download the messages from the University's mail server before Eudora can read and filter them. I use filters for a couple of active listservs I'm on, to direct mail from those lists into their own folders, where I can read it when I get a chance.
I don't know if the University has the capability to filter mail that is arriving at its servers, and if so, if they would be willing and/or able to customize filter settings for an individual account.
