A couple of weeks ago, I responded to a message Paul Schroeder posted about 
how to stop getting unwanted E-mail.  (See below.) In preparing for a 
workshop later this week, I realized that my statement that "you have to 
download the messages from the University's mail server before Eudora can 
read and filter them" is probably wrong.  It looks like Eudora and Outlook 
Express (and probably Outlook, too) provide for a filter that deletes 
messages from the mail server without downloading the message, depending on 
the content of the message's header.

Eudora calls this a "Filter," Outlook Express calls it a "Message Rule," 
and Outlook calls it a "Rule."
