--- Comment #12 from Nicolas Mailhot <[email protected]> --- See also https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/fontconfig/fontconfig/-/issues/185 https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/fontconfig/fontconfig/-/issues/208 https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/fontconfig/fontconfig/-/issues/214 https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/fontconfig/fontconfig/-/issues/220 It would be nice if fontconfig fixed such trivial OpentType non-conformances by default. Right now it does not so providing clean font metadata to apps helps (even if fontconfig fixed all those, the font files would still be broken on non fontconfig platforms, though I care a lot less about those). Due to its non-Linux heritage QT attempts to manage things that should be better left to fontconfig. That makes QT apps more likely to trip on problematic font metadata. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ fonts-bugs mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/[email protected]
