I think Yao makes an interesting point: it might be good to have 
some additional information besides what is in the fonts themselves. 

This could certainly help us approach the problem of determining 
which languages a font is suitable for. It would be attractive if 
this information could be easily upgraded over time (read: 
automatically upgraded) as new fonts came out (or as old fonts 
were categorized).
