Note that the fonts in question merely place Adobe bitmap accent glyphs on top of Adobe bitmap base character glyphs. That's how the many accent glyphs in the PostScript encoding were meant to be used. They don't really add new character designs. The fact that the precomposing happens in the BDF file and not in some rendering routine is merely a technical detail and shouldn't change trademark issues in any way.
