Keiron, I also suspect it has something do to with the transforms but I haven't managed to make it work using manual modifications of the generated PDF. I've tested using Acrobat 5 and GhostScript 8.00. Both with the same result. Mostly I used the W3C SVG testsuite 1.1.
BTW: Some of the text from the SVG testsuite got displaced when the PDF was viewed in GhostScript 8.00 while it displayed ok when viewed in Acrobat 5. I will probably look into this again this week.
