Humm. Unfortunately I don't see how we get the manpower to manage subsubprojects and attract developers. I'd rather think of asking jakarta-commons-lang or the sandbox.

to make use of OpenOffice.org's hyphenation stuff.

Umm, zilch. But then, th OOo hyphenation files I saw are just the FOP hyphenation files sans XML tags and with character encoding issues instead.
